Fresh Berry Tort with Granny Smith Apples
Makes 1-10 inch tort
|9oz || ||Sugar |
|9 oz || ||Butter, cut into cubs, kept cool |
|9 oz || ||Sliced Almonds, toasted |
|3 oz || ||Flour |
|6 ea || ||Whole Large Eggs |
|4 ea || ||Granny Smith Apples, cored and cut into 8 wedges |
Line one 10-inch heavy-duty cake pan with butter and parchment paper, dust with sugar
Combine almonds, flour and butter in a food processor.
Add eggs slowly one at a time until smooth.
Pour mixture into the prepared 10-inch cake pan evenly and press-in, about half way down, the plums wedges on the top.
Place in 350-degree oven until toothpick comes out of the center clean
Flip out of pan, let cool to room temperature.
Spread on your favorite jam; line the top with fresh berries like Raspberries, Blackberries and slices of Strawberries.
Dust with a little sugar and a lot of powder sugar
